FAQ

1. When submitting a clinical case, why should I submit as much information as possible, answer as many questions as possible (open and closed questions) and upload all the information regarding the case?

When submitting the clinical case, you should do so in as clear and detailed a manner as possible. The questionnaires found during the submission of your clinical case, in the area of general physical status examination, directed anamnesis and complementary diagnostic tests, are intended to serve as a guide for the submission of the case, emphasizing the most relevant information for each specialty area. The more detailed your clinical case, the more information that will be available to the veterinary specialist. This will allow for a quicker and more reliable diagnosis. Any diagnostic image, video, and complementary exam should also be submitted in the specific areas for uploading files.

2. Is it possible to ask just one question about a new clinical case, without the need for a full case submission?

The website does not have a chat system for direct communication with the veterinary specialist. In a new clinical case, you should always follow the steps indicated. Mandatory information fields include only the animal identification area, the remaining fields are optional. This means that you can ask only a question, but you must pay the same amount as for a full submission of a clinical case. However, this type of situation is not advised for the reasons explained in FAQ no.1.

3. How long does it take to receive a response from the expert?

The veterinary specialist has between 24 and 72 hours to provide an answer to the clinical case.

4. Can I ask for an urgent response? If so, how long does it take?

Yes. To submit the case as a matter of urgency, the value of the priority fee in our price list is added. The answer is given within 24 hours. For this you have to select the option “Priority” prior to payment.

5. How do I receive the response from the expert?

You will be notified by email of the response from the expert. It is important to emphasize that this response can be given in three formats: written report, video report, or audio report.

6. What file formats are accepted for uploading?

Files in DICOM, JPEG, PNG, MP4, MP3 and PDF format are accepted.

7. If I have a case of an animal species not covered on the Vetexpertise website, how can I solve the problem?

In this case, you should contact us by e-mail [email protected] and we will do everything possible to consult with a specialist colleague from our contact network who may help you.

8. If I have a case of a specialty area not covered by Vetexpertise website, how can I resolve the issue?

In this case, you should contact us by e-mail [email protected] and we will do everything possible to consult with a specialist colleague from our contact network who may help you.

9. Can I speak directly to the veterinary specialist?

No. All case information should be submitted via the website, and all replies from the veterinary specialist follow this same procedure.

10. If I forgot to submit some file or important information what can I do?

In this case, you should contact us by e-mail [email protected] and we will help, redirecting the missing information to the specialist responsible for your case.

11. After payment, how much time do I have to submit the case?

The payment should be made in the second step of the submission of the case, immediately after the chief complaint is filled (see our tutorial video). After payment has been made, there is unlimited time for the submission of the entire clinical case.

12. Can the website be used by the guardians of companion animals?

No. The website is for the exclusive use of veterinary doctors, and Vetexpertise may request proof of professional credentials whenever it deems necessary.

13. What is the deadline and what is the follow-up consultation?

In your customer area, you can consult all clinical cases submitted. If you need to ask a question related to one of these cases, simply click on the field “Follow-up”, select the specific case and follow the steps. In this case, you will have to pay the value of a follow-up consultation. Please note that, if this is a new clinical condition of the same animal, the value of a normal clinical advice will be charged.

14. What does the term "Teleconsultation" means?

Veterinary Teleconsultation is an online service exclusively between veterinary surgeons, that allows an online consultation about clinical cases. It allows the connection between the first opinion practices with the referral centers or in our case with an online platform where American and European Veterinary specialists/diplomates will help you, in first and second opinion, to solve the most challenging clinical cases, or help you  in the diagnosis just by simply sending x-ray images, computer tomography images, magnetic resonance images, ECG, echocardiography, etc.

15. What does the term "Telemedicine" means?

Veterinary Telemedicine provides the chance of online consultation/primary care between the veterinary surgeons and the client/patient through real-time interactive (synchronous, video or audio conferencing) and remote monitoring to support complete patient care.

16. If I have a first-opinion praxis which WISEVET application is more suitable?

A first-opinion praxis benefits mainly from our application WISEVET live. This application will be incorporated directly on your website and it allows you online clinical care via webcam. With this you will significantly improve the quality of your service and the prestige of your praxis, offering your client/patient the technological chance of doing an online consultation without sacrificing the comfort of their home. Client satisfaction will be much improved and you will also improve your economic performance and life quality.

17. Where can I get more information about the WISEVET applications?

You can contact us directly on the chat or you can send us an email to [email protected]. You will be pleased to help you and answer all your questions and doubts.
